The main goal was to evolve the brand into something more human: a symbol of trust, clarity, and progress in today’s world. A firm that doesn’t just manage borders, but opens doors.

Colombo & Hurd is a U.S.-based immigration and business law firm helping clients navigate some of life’s most transformative journeys.
Their old identity spoke of tradition and global reach, but felt heavy, institutional, and distant.

INSIGHT & STRATEGY

Immigration is not just paperwork — it’s personal. Every client’s story carries emotion, risk, and hope.

 The rebrand needed to shift the firm’s visual and verbal tone from authority and scale to guidance and care. The new identity embraces minimalism and calm — designed to make complex processes feel understandable, approachable, and human.

CONCEPT

The new mark distills the firm’s initials, C and H, into a single form.

 A circular frame surrounds the “H,” symbolizing openness, unity, and trust.
Together, they form a visual dialogue between movement and foundation — the journey and the destination, like all the people everybody that wants to start a new path outside of everything.

Where the old globe once spoke of the world, the new symbol speaks of people in it.

 It’s not about mapping territories anymore, but creating pathways.
This concept embodies Colombo & Hurd’s transformation: from a traditional firm that navigates borders, to a modern brand that helps people cross them with confidence.

The serif type of the old identity was replaced with a modern sans-serif wordmark that communicates confidence and accessibility.

 It reads cleanly across every medium — from digital to print — reflecting the firm’s clarity and professionalism.

COLOR PALLETE

Dark, navy blue as their main color signals the calmness and seriousness of the brand.  other shades of blue work as support, changing from more vivid to more subtle depending on communication. A beige/golden accent will make the brand feel premium when needed.

THE VISUAL SYSTEM

Typography, color, and layout work together to create a calm and confident rhythm — one that mirrors the firm’s approach to navigating legal processes. Information is presented with intention, allowing content to feel accessible rather than overwhelming.

Across digital and print applications, the system remains flexible yet cohesive — from stationery and documentation to web interfaces and client materials.

CONCLUSION

The new ColomboHurd identity reflects a shift in perspective: from institutional to human, from complex to clear. It positions the firm as both expert and guide, balancing precision with empathy at every touchpoint.

A brand that feels as reliable as it is approachable, because beyond every process, there’s a person — and a story worth guiding forward.
